What are the functions of the buttons on the Qwiek.embrace?

Use these buttons to operate the Qwiek.embrace.

The Qwiek.embrace is specifically designed for care environments, providing comfort and tranquility to residents or clients. The controls are intentionally kept simple so you, as a caregiver or family member, can use the device effortlessly. In this guide, we clearly explain the functions.

The Qwiek.embrace has two main buttons, each with two functions.

1. The left button (yellow outline): play, pause & next track

You can recognize this button by the yellow outline and the 'play' icon. The functions are focused on audio.

  • Press once briefly: Start or pause the music. Ideal for interrupting the audio during a care or contact moment.
  • Press twice briefly: Skip to the next track. This makes it easy to scroll through the playlists.

 

2. The right button (grey outline): volume & repeat playlist

The button with the grey outline controls the volume and also serves as the repeat function.

  • Press once briefly: Change the intensity of volume and vibrations. The cycle is: high > medium > low > and back to medium. This allows you to perfectly adjust the sensory stimuli to the needs of the resident or client.
  • Press twice briefly: Activate the 'repeat playlist' function. The Qwiek.embrace will continue playing the playlist. This is ideal for a prolonged moment of rest, until the pause button is pressed or the battery runs out. Press this button twice again to disable repeat.

 

Locking the Qwiek.embrace

The lock mode deactivates the buttons to prevent unwanted operation.

  • To lock: Hold both the left and right button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The buttons are now blocked and will no longer respond.
  • To unlock: To use the buttons again, do exactly the same: hold both buttons for another 3 seconds. The buttons will now function as normal..

 

The smart LED indicator

Between the two buttons is an LED light. This light gives you immediate insight into the status of the Qwiek.embrace.

  • Green pulsing: the Qwiek.embrace is waiting for action
  • Solid green: the Qwiek.embrace is playing
  • Orange: the Qwiek.embrace has 50% battery remaining
  • Red: the Qwiek.embrace is empty, please connect it to the charger
  • Purple blinking: the Qwiek.embrace is locked
