What experience modules are there?

This article discusses the different types of experiential modules and explains the best ways to use them for specific purposes.

Overview

Experience Module

The numerous experience modules enhance the Qwiek.up experience, immersing your clients in a unique sensory journey. These modules activate clients to move, encourage them to interact with their environment, and foster conversations with caregivers or family members. They also provide a soothing relaxation experience for instances of overstimulation. Additionally, the experience modules offer the desired distraction during care moments and medical procedures.

Extensive offer

To ensure that the experience perfectly aligns with the desired effect and the background and interests of your clients, we offer a wide range of experience modules. Each module contains a diverse selection of video fragments, accompanied by matching music or sounds, allowing the user to choose in the moment based on the situation, goal, and interests of the client in question.

The modules are designed around a number of themes:

  • Theme - Nature (light green)
These modules take you outside to enjoy various moments in nature, such as a forest walk, a visit to the zoo or farm, or seeing the first spring blossoms.
  • Theme - Holidays (dark green)
Experience different holidays and festive days: Christmas, Sinterklaas, Easter, King's Day, and birthdays. The recognizable videos and music of the holidays evoke beautiful memories and a festive feeling.
  • Theme - Sensory Stimulation (yellow)
With these modules, you offer your clients the opportunity to enjoy sensory stimulation in their own room.
  • Theme - Reminiscence (orange)
Through stories, music, and images that depict different time periods, you take your clients back in time. This triggers memories and provides an opportunity to relive or talk about beautiful moments.
  • Theme - Entertainment (red)
These experience modules are specially designed to entertain or distract your clients in a different way. For example, take them for a day out at the Efteling or Toverland, enjoy a Holiday on Ice show together, or a concert by André Rieu.
  • Theme - Fit & Vitality (pink)
The Fit & Vitality modules have been developed in close collaboration with physiotherapists and vitality coach Olga Commandeur. They are aimed at activating people (including those in various stages of dementia) to (more) physical activity. As the caregiver no longer needs to demonstrate the exercises on-site, there is more time to engage clients individually in the activity.
