Starting a video call on the Qwiek.up
Using the Qwiek.connect, you can easily initiate a video call between your client and their family through the Qwiek.up. The client's family can join the call by using the conversation code that you sent when scheduling the call.
Instructions for scheduling a video call with the family
Attention! Your conversation code is always the same and linked to your Qwiek.up. Anyone with this code can always join the call. Therefore, do not share it with others without caution!
Step 1: Power on the Qwiek.up
Turn on the Qwiek.up and make sure it is connected to the WiFi network. You can check if your Qwiek.up is connected by looking at the bottom right corner of the home screen. If there is no WiFi connection visible, please check your WiFi settings.
Step 2: Start the video call
Connect the Qwiek.connect using the USB cable.
Position the Qwiek.connect in a way that ensures your client is clearly visible on the screen. This will automatically activate the digital conversation space on your Qwiek.up device.
Tip: For the best sound and visual experience for the family, we recommend placing the Qwiek.connect on top of the Qwiek.up.
Step 3: Allow the family to join the video call
When the family requests permission to join the conversation, a pop-up will appear on the Qwiek.up device.
To allow the person/people to join, press the 'next' button (3) on the Qwiek.up. If you don't recognize the person's name, you can decline by pressing the 'previous' button (1).
Tip: If you accidentally accept someone into the conversation, make sure to end the call. This will remove all participants from the digital conversation space. You can then restart the Qwiek.connect device and grant access to the desired person or people once again.
Step 4: Ending the video call
To end the conversation, simply disconnect the USB cable from the Qwiek.connect device and the Qwiek.up.
You can easily and securely store the Qwiek.connect by utilizing its magnetic feet. Place it on the base or inside the leg of the Qwiek.up. The magnetic force will keep the Qwiek.connect device securely in place.
